Archipelago National Park

The diversity of Archipelago National Park provides a wide range of experiences and activities for the visitor.

On land in the National Park there are ten nature trails to explore, mostly in the traditional landscapes of some of the key islands. The lengths of the trails vary from 0,5 km to 3 km. These provide good opportunities for combining discovering the nature of the park with learning about the cultural heritage of the region. The sea opens up a whole new world from swimming from the sandy beaches and sand banks, to sea canoeing or sailing. On some of the islands there are campsites where you can spend the night and watch the changing skies that can only be experienced so close to the sea. The sea brings its only challenges and we recommend that visitors contact the Blåmusslan Visitor Centre to get help and support in finding skilled guides and information on how to best enjoy this stunning seascape. A unique experience is the underwater nature trail in Stora Hästö, length 400 m. you can read the signs snorkeling or diving and following a rope which connects the signs.

Archipelago National Park is the ideal destination to discover the unique nature that can be found when the land and sea come together in our first marine PAN Park.
