Bieszczady National Park

Introduction




The largest mountain national park in Poland, it is part of Europe´s largest primeval beech forest. A well developed network of trails provide opportunities for hiking, cycling and cross country skiing. A special attraction for visitors is the opportunity to explore with the unique Hucul horses on a series of specially developed mountain horse trails.

A climb to the highest point of Bieszcady - Mount Tarnica, offers a great view over the park and excellent opportunities to capture this stunning landscape with the camera. As well the beauty of the wild landscape of the national park, the area has an outstanding cultural heritage and there are manz interesting places to discover including the largest Polish open air museum of wooden folk architecture, greek catholic wooden churches and the largest icon collection outside the former USSR at the Sanok Historical Museum.
