How to get there
By the air Nearest international airports operated by many airlines: Warszawa ( 490 km, 7 to 8 hrs drive); Kraków ( 300 km, approx 5 to 6 hrs drive); domestic and low-budget international airport operated by Raynair offer one flight a day to (Rzeszów 170 km, 2 & ½ hrs drive). Bieszczady Mts are accessible from Rzeszow by rent car or coach, see also www.go-rzeszow.com
Bus: regular services, main local bus stations: Rzeszów, Sanok, Lesko, Ustrzyki Dolne, more frequent in summer (July-August).
Shuttle: private buses and vans, available at railway stations Sanok and Zagórz as well as for request booked in advance.
Roads: direction Ustrzyki Dolne, then follow road 896 to Ustrzyki Gó rne, 48 km, ¾ hr(main road, accessible almost throughout the whole year); from Barwinek PL/SK border crossing: turn right in Tylawa and follow road 897, in winter the last section Wetlina-Ustrzyki Górne may be hardly accessible. Driving conditions in winter (November-April) may be extremely difficult especially on mountain roads, appropriate winter tyres and skills are required, snow-chains will not help much.
Admission fees Visitors are supposed to pay a daily entrance fee to the Bieszczady National Park. The price is 4 PLN per adult and 2 PLN per children/student, pensioners pay only half the total price. Some special groups of visitors can be free of admission fees e.g. people with disabilities.
