Fulufjället National Park

Introduction

Vattenfall Njupeskär (FPN Archive)
Fulufjället, the first PAN Park has bare mountain heights covered in "reindeer moss", valleys thick with ancient forest, and steep rocky canyons. The heaths of brush, grass and lichens are unique in the Swedish mountains. The Njupeskär waterfall, the tallest in Sweden is a sight worth seeing even during the winter, when ice forms gleaming armour around the falling water.

For the visitor there is so much to do and see. Our local PAN Parks partners can provide you with good quality accommodation, relaxing saunas and a whole host of adventurous activities throughout the seasons. From gentle walks, canoe trips to learning to survive in a Scandinavian winter and speeding through fresh snow behind a team of trained dogs there is something for everyone.
