The independent verification of the park ensures that you are visiting an area that really can be called wilderness and that it is managed in the best possible way for nature. The verification process results in real improvements in management practice.

All of the local businesses displaying the PAN Parks logo have been assessed to ensure that they meet the highest green tourism standards. This assessment is either to our own recommended standards or where appropriate the highest national standards for eco-tourism. All of our partners are members of a Local PAN Park Group – a collaborative partnership that brings together local businesses, park managers and local tourism organisations in order to ensure that their activities benefit and do not harm nature.
